Air Nelson

Air Nelson is a New Zealand regional airline with headquarters and home base in Nelson. It is a subsidiary of Air New Zealand and flies under the umbrella brand for regional flights, Air New Zealand link, and makes use of their corporate design.

History

Air Nelson was founded in 1979 by Robert Inglis and Nicki Smith and began flight operations in the same year. In 2002 she was taken over as well as Mount Cook Airline Air New Zealand.

By 2004 the fleet had grown to 17 Saab 340A. In October 2004, Air Nelson announced by Bombardier Dash to replace its fleet of Saab - 8Q -300. The last Saab 340A was made in September 2007 out of service.

Destinations

Air Nelson operates under the brand Air New Zealand Link for its parent company Air New Zealand regional flights to and from Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Napier, Nelson, Tauranga, Christchurch, Palmerston North, Rotorua, Hamilton, Blenheim and Gisborne through.
