Gran Canaria Airport

The AirClass Airways was a Spanish airline based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It operated scheduled and charter service, but also offering wet lease services. The hub of the company was the Gran Canaria Airport.

History

The airline took to flight operations in February 2003. It was founded by Canary Travel as a sister company of the airline Travel Service under the name Visig Operaciones Aéreas. Flight operations with a Boeing 737-800, which was acquired by Travel Service, was added. Visig ceased to operate in 2005, and in November 2005 the company was bought by the Spanish investment group AirClass and restructured by Futura International Airways. In May 2006 the company was renamed AirClass Airways and flew back with two Boeing 737, the company was wholly owned by the AirClass and employed 48 staff. End of March 2008, AirClass flight operations completely one after the last machine was brought back from Verleaser.
