Construction

Aerodynamic design

The Sunny is a biplane without conventional empennage. The longitudinal stability is achieved by the staggering of the upper and swept straight lower surface. The wing tips of both wings are connected by vertical stabilizing surfaces. The lower surface has a rudder that are used as a combined lateral and elevator. The controller about the vertical axis is carried out by the spoilers. By Boxwing conception the plane is an easy-to -fly according to the manufacturer airplane.

Mechanical Design

In pipe - cloth construction built, is the supporting structure of bolted, aviation aluminum tubes tested largely of the same diameter. Consistent manufacturing accuracy is achieved by the use of special jigs. The wings and control surfaces are covered with a UV-resistant and equipped with a crack -stop function grating film.

The tube - cloth construction and the type of pipe joints have been used in the 1920s and can be seen at some exhibits in the German Museum of Masterpieces of Science and Technology in Munich.
