Airman

Airman is a rank (OR -2) of the U.S. Air Force and a use designation of the U.S. Navy. In the Royal Air Force mostly the teams are called Airman. In addition, the term can refer to any soldiers of the air forces of a country, as well as pilots whether military or civilian. If the whole word capitalized, so can every soldier of the U.S. Air Force, whether an officer or sergeant be meant. In the parlance of the Federal Aviation Administration may by Airman someone be meant that controls an airplane.

U.S. forces

In the U.S. Air Force Airman ( Amn ) is the second lowest rank. A soldier is usually promoted after six months of service from the lowest ranking Airman Basic.

In the U.S. Navy Airman is a use designation for teams that are used to maintain naval aircraft.
