Airole

Airole ( in Ligurian: Airöe ) is a municipality with 452 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the northern Italian region of Liguria. Politically it belongs to the province of Imperia.

Geography

Airole located in the Val Roya in the hinterland of the province of Imperia. Located on the banks of the river Roya community is about 10 kilometers from the coast of the Ligurian Sea. Airole belongs to the Comunità Montana Intemelia. The distance to the provincial capital of Imperia is approximately 55 kilometers.
