Airton Ribeiro Santos

Airton Ribeiro Santos (born 21 February 1990 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian footballer who currently beiSC Internacional is under contract.

Career

In clubs

Airton began his career in 2007 in the youth of Nova Iguaçu FC and moved from there to Mesquita FC. In 2008, he moved to first division side Flamengo, where he finished his youth career and pushed forward to the senior squad. There he played for two years as a regular player and won twice in a row the state championship in Rio de Janeiro. During the winter transfer window in Europe, the Brazilian transferred for a transfer fee of 2.6 million euros for record champions Benfica of Portugal.

For the 2011/12 season Airton moved on loan to Brazil for Flamengo. The contract was originally set for the end of the 2011/12 season, but was extended for a year in May 2012.

On March 1, 2013 Airton changes on loan until the end of the season to Brazil for SC Internacional Porto Alegre.
