Airtours International Airways

Airtours International Airways was a British charter airline based in Manchester.

History

Airtours International Airways was founded in 1990 in Manchester. A year later, started operations with a fleet of McDonnell Douglas MD first three -83, although one could be added at the end of 1991.

In 1993, the Airtours Holding the competitors Aspro Holidays from Ireland and its airline InterEuropean. As of 1994, the fleet was supplemented with the Airbus A320. Additionally, came two more Boeing 767 to be able to offer flights to Thailand and the United States can. In 1996, Airtours acquired 50 percent of the Scandinavian charter company Premiair and in 1998 a majority stake in Air Belgium.
