AJ Bear

AJ Bear ( born February 2, 1977 in Sydney, actually Aaron Bear ) is a former Australian alpine skier. He was a member from 1997 to 2006 the Australian ski team. His disciplines were downhill and super -G.

After his first participation in the Junior World Championships in the spring of 1996, Bear went from December 1997 at the World Cup on a regular basis at the start. In December 2000 he won the downhill in the U.S. Vail / Beaver Creek his first World Cup point.

The career of AJ Bear was often interrupted by injuries, including by heavy falls in Bormio. A total of nine times he could place in the World Cup rankings in the course of his career. Best result was a 17th place in the downhill race in Val Gardena in December 2005.

AJ Bear was three times Australian champion in giant slalom (1997, 2000, 2001 ) and won once at the Dutch Championships Super -G ( 1998).
