Ajahn Sundara

Ajahn Sundara (* in France) is a Buddhist nun in the Thai forest tradition of Ajahn Chah. Ajahn stands in her name for Thai teachers.

She was born in France and grew up and studied there and then later in England dance. In 1979, she appeared as Samaneri in the Order by taking eight vows, and was, together with three other women to the founder of the order of nuns in the forest tradition. After Ajahn Sumedho had received the green light from the Superiors in Thailand light, Sundara was 1983 ' Pabbajja ' and get so go as Siladhara in the " homelessness ".

After she left Cittaviveka she began in Amaravati with the construction of the nuns. In the 1990s, it went on for some time to Thailand, where she spent more than two years in monasteries in the forest tradition.

As Ajahn teaching for many years in Europe and America, and leading meditation daily. He currently lives and teaches them in the Amaravati Buddhist Monastery.
