Ajax Bay

Ajax Bay is a small settlement on the Falkland Islands. The village lies to the west of East Falkland at the San Carlos Bay, a few kilometers west of Port San Carlos. As part of a development program of the Commonwealth Development Corporation, a plant for the processing of sheep meat was errichted in the place. The plant, however, was hardly used, and finally moved to Stanley.

As part of Operation Sutton was the place under the code name " Red Beach " is a landing point of the first British units during the Falklands War and was later used as a military hospital.
