Ajima Naonobu

Ajima Naonobu (Japanese安 岛 直 円; * 1732, † November 14, 1798 ), also Ajima Chokuen ( the Sino- Japanese reading of his name ) or Ajima Chokuyen (deprecated for Chokuen ) was a Japanese mathematician of the Wasan.

He developed under other integral calculus of Enri (円 理, dt "circle principle"). His father was the chairman of the Treasury of the fief Shinjō (御 勘定 头, o- KANJO - gashira ).

The lunar crater Naonobu is named after him.
