Akdeniz Airlines

Akdeniz Airlines was a Turkish airline that was founded in early 1995.

Even the start of the airline has been delayed and there were difficulties to obtain suitable aircraft. The measures provided for Boeing 757 could not be financed. With three leased Airbus A300 Akdeniz Airlines flew from the beginning of June 1995, some tour operators, often, the aircraft out of work in Antalya or Istanbul. Due to non-payment of lease payments, the U.S. leasing company called back an Airbus. The flight was shut down in November 1995.

Several attempts at resuscitation in 1996 were unsuccessful, as also on the part of the Turkish government more stringent requirements relating to financial resources were observed when airlines.
