Aketza Peña

Aketza Peña Iza ( born March 4, 1981 in Zalla ) is a Spanish cyclist.

Aketza Peña began his professional career in 2004 in the Basque Euskaltel -Euskadi cycling team. Since 2005 takes part in his team on the UCI ProTour. In the Vuelta a Castilla y León 2006, the Basque on the last stage just beaten to second behind the overall winner Alexander Vinokourov was.

On 24 April 2007, Peña was tested positive for the muscle building nandrolone preparation for the Tour of Trentino. First, sanctions him spared. At the Giro d' Italia, he was again tested positive. He was disqualified and suspended from the team Euskaltel.
