Akiko Suwanai

Akiko Suwanai (Japanese诹 访 内 晶 子, Suwanai Akiko, born February 7, 1972 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese violinist.

Career

Suwanai is the youngest winner of the International Tchaikovsky Competition in 1990. Moreover Suwanai won the second prize at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition in 1989. She studied with Toshiya Eto at the Toho Gakuen School with Dorothy DeLay and Cho - Liang Lin at the Juilliard School and with Uwe -Martin Haiberg at the University of Arts in Berlin. She currently plays on the "Dolphin" Stradivarius from the year 1714. She has published numerous CDs.
