Akira Amari

Akira Amari (Japanese甘 利 明, Amari Akira, born August 27, 1949 in Atsugi, Kanagawa Prefecture) is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party ( LDP), a deputy in the lower house of the national parliament and Minister for Special Affairs in the Cabinet Office in the second cabinet Abe. In the LDP Amari is a member of the Yamasaki faction.

Life

Amari graduated in 1972 graduated from Keio University from. After two and a half years as an employee of Sony, he was secretary in his father's office, the House of Representatives Tadashi Amari. Since 1983, Akira Amari is itself a deputy in the lower house and has since been re-elected nine times, most recently in 2012 in the constituency Kanagawa 13 He is a member of the Sino- Japanese and Sino- Korean friendship groups. 1989 Amari was parliamentary secretary in the MITI. From 29 July 1998 to 5 October 1999, he was labor minister under Prime Minister Keizo Obuchi. Following the resignation of Takehiko Endō as Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, he took on 3 September 2007 for a day provisionally whose official duties. After a month without a minister Prime Minister Taro Aso called him on 24 September as Minister of State for Deregulation (规 制 改革, literally " regulatory reform " ) into his cabinet, where he remained until retirement in September 2009.

After the election Shinzō Abe's party chairman 2012, this Amari appointed as PARC chairman in the party leadership, after the LDP victory in the general election in December 2012 as minister for economic and fiscal policy in his second cabinet.

Akira Amari is a descendant of General Amari Torayasu, who was in the service of Takeda Shingen during the Sengoku period.
