Akira Kaji

Akira Kaji (Japanese加 地 亮Akira Kaji, born January 13, 1980 in Minamiawaji, Hyōgo Prefecture) is a Japanese football player.

After leaving the school teams to Kaji, signed in 1998 in the Japanese first division club Cerezo Osaka, where he came into the first two years to a few missions as a reserve player. After that, he was loaned for two years at Oita Trinita, who played in Division 2, and there he was on the right side to the solid defensive regulars.

After the club had missed twice the rise, he moved to the capital club FC Tokyo in the top flight back. Highlight of his four years there, 2004 was winning the League Cup. In 2006 he moved to the previously Japanese master become Gamba Osaka.

Was very successful and his career in the national teams of Japan. Akira Kaji was part of the U20 team, which in 1999 was second in the Junior World Championships. Then in October 2003 he came to his first deployment in the Japanese national team and since May 2004 he has been a permanent strain of the team. 2004 Japan won him the Asian Cup and the Confederations Cup, he was just there as in qualifying for the World Cup 2006. During the World Cup he played in the World Cup squad in Japan, two of the three group games.
