Akita-Yake-yama

The Akita - Yake -yama (Japanese秋田 焼 山, dt mountain burning in Akita ) is a 1,366 m high active stratovolcano on the Japanese island of Honshu. He belongs to Ou Mountains and is located in the city of Kazuno and Semboku in Akita prefecture. He is one of many volcanoes with the Japanese name Yake -yama ( Burning Mountain ). The last eruption occurred in 1997.
