Akoko, Akoko North Arigidi or is a language that is spoken in southwestern Nigeria in Ondo state of approximately 50,000 people. Akoko is a separate subunit of Akokoiden languages of the West Benue - Congo, Benue - Congo branch of the one that belongs to the Niger - Congo.
Akoko is a dialect cluster of dialects Oyin, Uro, Arigidi ( a major dialect, according to which the language is called alternative), Erusus, Ojo, Udo, Afa, ogres, Aje, Ese and Igasi. Some researchers these dialects are considered partially as separate languages.
