Akron Americans
The Akron Americans were an American ice hockey franchise in the International Hockey League from Akron, Ohio.
History
The Akron Americans were founded in 1948 as a franchise, which was founded three years earlier International Hockey League. They replaced the Akron Stars, who played from 1946 to 1948 in the Ohio State Hockey League. In its first and only season, the Americans reached the fifth and last place thus the South Division. In the 32 games of the regular season, the team was able to enter only four victories, after which they already stopped playing mode after just one year.
