Aksel Hennie

Aksel Hennie ( born October 29, 1975 in Oslo, Østlandet ) is a Norwegian actor, director and screenwriter. He became famous for his roles in Johnny Vang, Uno and Buddy. Hennie played the eponymous lead role in the movie Max Manus, which tells the story of the resistance fighters in occupied Germany from Norway. The film is one of the most elaborate ever filmed in Northern Europe films. From 2009 to February 2013 he was associated with the Norwegian singer Tone Aaberge Damli.

Career

Hennie received his acting training at the State Higher School of Theatre Oslo and played since several leading roles, among others, the Norwegian State Theatre. In 2006 he played at the new Oslo Theatre Shakespeare's Hamlet and in the game from 2009 to 2010, the role of Oswald in TanGhost which is based on Ibsen's Ghosts.
