Aksubayevo
Aksubajewo (Russian Аксубаево; Tatar Аксубай ) is an urban-type settlement in the Republic of Tatarstan (Russia) with 10,008 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).
Geography
The settlement is situated about 150 km southeast of the Republic capital Kazan on the river Malaya Sultscha ( Small Sultscha ), which on the Bolshaya Sultscha (Grand Sultscha ) flows to the left Volga tributary Big Cheremshan.
Aksubajewo is the administrative center of the Rajons Aksubajewski and seat and only town of the same township ( gorodskoje posselenije ).
History
The town was founded in 1771 and later became the administrative seat of a volost.
Since 1930 Aksubajewo center of an agricultural and forestry embossed Rajons (since 1965 in the current boundaries ), urban type of settlement since 1973.

Aksubajewo is located on the regional road 16K - 0098, from the 50 km south Nurlat, where the nearest railway station on the route Ulyanovsk - Tschischmy ( - Ufa ) is located, leads to Tschistopol on the Kama.
