Aktieselskab

The Aktieselskab (short A / S or ⅍ ) is the Danish form of the corporation.

For the establishment of a Aktieselskab a minimum capital of 500,000 DKK (equivalent to 66 977 euro, exchange rate of 4 April 2014) is necessary. After founding the nominally registered capital must not fall below the limit of this amount. Organs of a Danish public limited company are the board ( Bestyrelse ), consisting of at least three members and a so-called Directorate, consisting of one to three members.

The shareholders of a Danish public limited company can use its influence at a general law. This selects the members of the Executive Board as well as an external auditor.
