AKUT Search and Rescue Association

ACUTE Search and Rescue Association (Turkish: ACUTE Arama Kurtarma Derneği ) is a non-profit and voluntary organization in Turkey, which was founded in 1996 by a group of climbers.

By 2014, the association founded 33 teams in different regions of Turkey and completed more than 1,000 search and rescue operations. She is a member of the " International Search and Rescue Advisory Group " ( INSARAG ) of the United Nations and the " International Rescue Dog Organization."

In 2011, the association took part in the organized by the INSARAG classification event and has since become a medium heavy search and rescue team ( Medium Urban Search and Rescue Team ) certified. ACUTE participated after the two 2011 earthquake in Van in rescue operations.
