Al-Arabi SC (Qatar)

Al -Arabi (English al -Arabi Sports Club, Arabic النادي العربي الرياضي, DMG to - Nadi al - ʿ Arabī al- Riyadi ) known as al -Arabi Doha, is a professional football club from Doha ( Qatar). Currently the club plays in the top league in the country, the Qatar Stars League. Play their home games, the club at the Grand Hamad Stadium from. History

The club was founded in 1952. In 1983, for the first time win the National League in the club's history the club. Two years later, they repeated this success by remaining unbeaten in the league after comprehensive seven teams return game and out played five points over second-placed Qatar SC.

From January 2009 was another German, Uli Stielike, coach of the club. Under him, the season was completed in 2008 /09 on the seventh place. The following year, the improvement was in third place. 2009/10 the team reached the final of the Sheikh Jassim Cup. There they defeated Lekhwiya 1-0. The following year, this success was repeated under new coach Paulo Silas after they could defeat in the final Umm Salal - SC 3-2.
