Al Attles

Alvin A. Attles ( born November 7, 1936 in Newark, New Jersey ) is a retired American professional basketball player and coach. Between 1960 and 1971 he played in the NBA for the crew of the Philadelphia Warriors / San Francisco Warriors. Attles is 1,83 m tall and played the position of guard. He was one of the first African - American NBA coach. In the 1970s Attles coached the Warriors and led the team to Rick Barry as an outsider to the NBA championship in 1975.
