Al Barr

Alexander Martin " Al " Barr ( born September 12, 1968 in Hanover, New Hampshire) is an American singer and frontman for the Dropkick Murphys.

His first band was called D.V.A. to ( Direct Vole Assault ). Together with later members of Scissorfight, The Radicts, LES Stitches, U.S. Bombs and he founded the band 5 Balls of Power. Subsequently, he was co-founder and lead singer of the Bruisers, a well-known in the States Street Punk / Oi - band. This often occurred with the Dropkick Murphys from Boston, and as their lead singer, Mike McColgan, left the band, Barr took a short hand whose posts. The first album, which produced the Murphys along with Barr was that published in 1999 The Gang 's All Here.

Unlike the other members of the band, all of whom have Irish roots, Barr's father from Scotland and his mother is a German. He speaks also German. He has a son named Strummer.
