Al- Fula (Arabic الفولة, DMG al - Fula, alternative ways of writing al - Fulah or El Fula ) is a city in the state Dschanub Kordofan in Sudan. 1994-2005 it was the capital of the now-defunct state Gharb Kordofan.

Location

The city is located in south-central Sudan, approximately 600 kilometers southwest of Khartoum located on the western foothills of the Nuba Mountains, about 70 kilometers northwest of Babanusa.
