al-Hayat

Al -Hayat (Arabic الحياة al -Hayat, Life ') is a Pan-Arabic and Western-oriented daily newspaper in the Arab world. It is published in London.

History

The newspaper was founded in Beirut in 1988 by Djemil Mrowa and nobility Bishtawi and sold to the Saudi crown prince Sultan al -Saud during the Lebanese civil war in 1990. Its headquarters is located in Saudi Arabia. With a circulation of nearly 300,000 it is one of the major Arabic-language newspapers in the world. She has an office in Riyadh and will appear in Saudi Arabia as a local issue.

Content

Al -Hayat is a preferred platform for left or liberal intellectuals. In August 2007 the newspaper was temporarily banned by the Saudi government because they criticized the royal family of Saud and had disregarded instructions from the Information and Culture Ministry.
