Al-Khor Sports Club
Al -Khor Sports Club (Arabic نادي الخور الرياضي ) is a sports club from al - Khor in Qatar. The men's soccer team plays in the top league in the country, the Qatar Stars League. The home plays games from the team in al - Khawr Stadium. Was founded the club in 1961 as Al- Taawun, the current name borne by the club since 2002. Biggest successes of the club were the Sheikh Jassim Cup victories in 2003 and Qatar Crown Prince Cup 2005. 1980 reached the club, then known as al - Taawun, for the first time the finals of the Emir of Qatar Cup and lost 2-1 against al -Arabi. In the 2006/07 season they managed to again reach the finals and was defeated in a penalty shoot-out against al -Sadd.
