Al Khor (Arabic الخور, DMG al - Hawr; often Al Khor ) is a coastal city in northern Qatar. It is located in the homonymous municipality al - Khor and is the municipal capital. Al- Khor is located 50 km north of the capital Doha. The population is 31,547 (as of 2008 ).

The city is home to many workers in the oil industry because of its proximity to the oil fields and natural gas reserves in the north of Qatar and its proximity to Ras Laffan.

As part of the FIFA World Cup 2022 will be held the al - Khawr Stadium, World Cup games in the al -Khor Sports Club Stadium.
