al-Mahwit

Al - Mahwit (also Machwiet, (Arabic المحويت, DMG al - Mahwit ) ) is a small town in the central west of Yemen. The city is located about 50 km west of Shibam Kaukaban and twice as far from away from the state capital Sanaa in the homonymous province.

The old town of Al- Mahwit is situated on a mountain castle.
