Mukalla (Arabic المكلا al - Mukallā ) is the largest city in the eastern region of Hadramaut in Yemen, and has about 222,000 inhabitants.

Mukalla is on the Indian Ocean and is the main seaport for this region since ancient times. He is already marked on the map of Ptolemy in the 2nd century. The white harbor front led to equating Pearl of Arabia.
