Al-Nuwayri

Ahmad at - Nuwairī (Arabic شهاب الدين أحمد بن عبد الوهاب بن محمد النويري, DMG Šihāb ad - Dīn Aḥmad ibn ʿ Abd a- Wahhāb b Muḥammad at - Nuwairī, .. * 1279 in Cairo, † 1333) was an Egyptian historian and encyclopedist the Mamluk period in Egypt. He is the author of the Encyclopedia Nihāyat al - Arab fī al - adab Funun.

He also wrote a chronicle of Syria, which describes the conquests of the Mongols in Syria, and a history of the Almohads in Spain and Africa and the conquest of the city of Marrakech.
