Al Reinert
Al Reinert is an American screenwriter, film producer and director.
Life
Reinert produced the 1989 documentary film For All Mankind - A giant leap for mankind on the Apollo program NASA, 1990 was nominated for Best Documentary Oscar. In 1995 he wrote the screenplay for Ron Howarda Apollo 13, for which he was again nominated for an Oscar, this time with William Broyles Jr.. Three years later, he worked on the script with the HBO miniseries From the Earth to the Moon, which also dealt with the history of the Apollo program. He also wrote the screenplay for Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, the first fully computer-animated feature film with a largely realistic portrayal of people.
