Al Sadd SC
The Sadd Sports Club (Arabic السد القطري, DMG as- Sadd al - Qaṭarī ) is a sports club based in Doha, the Qatari capital. The club, nicknamed the White Shirts was founded on 21 October 1969 by students and is one of the most successful in the country. The men's soccer team plays in the top league in the country, the Qatar Stars League. With twelve won championships and twelve cup victories won the football section is simultaneously record champion and record cup winners of the country. The biggest international successes were winning the AFC Champions League in 1989 and 2011. Till now the football team of Al- Sadd SC is the only team from Qatar who was able to win this item. In December 2011, al -Sadd won the third place at the FIFA Club World Cup.
