Al-Safa' SC

The Safa Beirut SC is a sports club from Beirut in Lebanon. The club plays in the top league in the country, the Lebanese Premier League. Its home games carry the football players from the Safa SC Stadium.

Club history

The club was founded in 1937. In 1948 we received the official license of the association and is classified in the second league. In 1961, the rise in the first division after previously was from 1948 to 1960 continuously champions of the second division.

In its long history the club have never been able to win the championship. Seven remained the footballers only second place at the end of a season. 2008 Safa reached the final of the AFC Cup, but it lost to the Muharraq FC. In 2009, the club takes part in the AFC Cup. After four games in the group stage one has a good chance of reaching the next round. The Championship 2008/ 09 the club finished in third place in the following season they finished second. In the 2011/12 season the club was the first time in its history, Lebanese champion.
