Al-Wahda SC Damascus

Al - Wahda (Arabic الوحدة, DMG al - Wahda, unit ') is a Syrian sports team from Damascus. The club, founded in 1972 is primarily known for its men's soccer team. al - Wahda plays in the Abbasid Stadium, which is also used by the Syrian National regularly. The arena was built in 1976 with 45,000 seats after the Aleppo International Stadium is the second largest stadium in Syria. In the 2003/2004 season al - Wahda became the first and only time champion. In the AFC Cup 2004, the club reached the 2nd place. The Syrian state - Cup brought the club in 1993 and 2003.

Successful division of the association is the women's basketball team. There are also teams of men and women in combat sports and handball.
