Ala is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Pühalepa ( Pühalepa vald ). It is the second largest Estonian island of Hiiumaa ( German Dagö ).

Description

Ala ( German Alla ) has 26 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011). The place is located ten kilometers north-east of the island's capital Kärdla ( Kertel ).

From 1953 to 1986 to a collective farm in the village of the Rahu eest ( " For Peace" ).
