Aladdin (TV series)

Aladdin is an American animated series of The Walt Disney Company, which was produced from 1994 to 1995. The series is based on the Disney movie Aladdin from 1992, but is settled Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves in time between its successor films.

It emerged three seasons with 86 episodes, which were first aired in the U.S. on 5 September 1994 to March 9, 1996 to the CBS. In Germany the first broadcast took place on 27 November 1994 under the children's show Disney & Co instead of RTL. Since then, the series aired on other channels such as the Disney Channel, Super RTL, ProSieben, Toon Disney, kabel eins, Disney Cinemagic and Disney Junior. In 1995 the series was nominated four times for the Annie Award and the Kids' Choice Award.

Action

The series continues the line of the two previous films. The main characters experience fantastic and magical adventures in and around Agrabah in an oriental Arabian Nights scenario. For instance, in the series all kinds of monsters, thieves and mages. A key element will, in addition to the main character Aladdin, the genie Jinni a who cares with his wacky nature and its magical ability to transform for numerous swipes and allusions to the real pop culture and is considered a popular figure in the series. The half-hour episodes are usually completed stories, but builds the plot of the series to each other.

Main Characters

  • Aladdin: He is the main character of the series, a young man who was orphaned early and since then as a beggar and thief through life hit until he fell in love with Jasmine. He is brave, upright, adventurous and extremely clever, but he tends to both arrogance, as well as to an inferiority complex because of his background.
  • Jinni: He's a genie from a magic lamp, which Aladdin once fell into the hands. This then gave him the freedom and the two became good friends, which is why he, after a short trip, returned to him again. He continues to have strong magical powers that are often of no use in tricky situations. In character he is extroverted and sensitive, but usually dominated by infectious good humor.
  • Abu: Abu is a little monkey and Aladdin's best friend. With this he has been friends for years and lived with him in the streets Agrabahs. Although he has a weakness for gold and jewels, but is also reliable and selfless.
  • Jasmine: She is the princess Agrabahs and the daughter of the Sultan's somewhat naive. Now she is in a relationship with Aladdin and experienced numerous adventures with him.   • Carpet: The carpet or often simply called Persian flying carpet has human traits and serves mainly as a friend and Aladdin flying object.
