Alain Roche

Alain Roche ( born October 14, 1967 in Brive- la -Gaillarde ) is a former French football player, then as a club official.

Club career

The 1.82 m tall center-back came the age of 18 during the " era Jacquet " in the team of Girondins Bordeaux, where he was on the side of internationals such as Alain Giresse, Jean Tigana, Patrick Battiston, Léonard Specht, René Girard, Bernard Lacombe, goalkeeper Dominique Dropsy and naturalized German Gernot Rohr quickly developed into a regular player and his first successes reaped. With each of his clubs he has won at least one national title: five times in the French Cup, three times the championship of Division 1 and the League Cup in France, and one each to the Spanish Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup. At the end of his time at Auxerre a personal title came about when he was elected in 1992 French Player of the Year. With five victories in the Coupe de France Alain Roche is next Marceau Somerlinck and Dominique Bathenay the most successful player in the 90 -year history of the competition; in the 1993 final against FC Nantes succeeded him head and make the score 3-0. In the National Team

Alain Roche has 16 games for France's U -21 ( " espoir " ) denied, with whom he European Junior Champion in 1988; he was also in the military national used.
