Alain Sarde

Alain Sarde ( born March 28, 1952 in Boulogne- Billancourt ) is a French film producer.

Life

Alain Sarde is the brother of film composer Philippe Sarde, who became famous through the films Claude Sautet. Alain Sarde established himself as a film producer in 1976 with the film Barocco by André Techiné. He produced both commercials and films for European auteur cinema. Meanwhile he can look back on a work by more than 120 productions. He held, with Roman Polanski's film The Pianist, for which he received a BAFTA Award and an Oscar nomination, his greatest success.
