Alain Sarteur

Alain Sarteur ( born June 17, 1946 in Plailly ) is a former French athlete, who specializes in the 100 -meter run.

Career

Sarteur in 1970 and 1972 French champion in the 100 -meter run as well as in 1973 and 1975 on 60 meters in the hall. The highlight of his international career he experienced at the European Athletics Championships in 1969 in Athens. As a starter for the French 4 x 100 - meter relay, he celebrated with Patrick Bourbeillon, Gérard Fenouil and François Saint- Gilles winning the title ahead of the teams from the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia. He also won the 100-meter run, the silver medal behind the eventual Olympic champion Valeri Borzov from the Soviet Union, and the Swiss European champion in the 200 meters, Philippe Clerc. Sarteur took in the 100 -meter run also participated in the 1972 Olympics in Munich, but could not there to qualify for the final.
