Alajärvi

Alajärvi [ ɑlɑjærvi ] is a city in western Finland with 10,272 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012).

Alajärvi is located in the eastern part of the Southern Ostrobothnia landscape on the shores of the lake. Neighboring municipalities are Soini in the southeast, and Ähtäri Alavus in the south, Kuortane the southwest, Lapua in the west, and Lappajärvi Vimpeli in the north, the northeast and Perho Kyyjärvi in the east. In addition to the eponymous capital of the administrative city of Alajärvi covers a total area of ​​1,056.8 square kilometers.
