Alamagny

Alamagny was a French manufacturer of automobiles.

The engineer Marcel Alamagny from Paris who worked for Renault before, began in 1946 with the development of a particular automobile, which was presented in spring 1948 at a trade show. The vehicle has had a front wheel, two-wheel drive in the middle, and a rear wheel. The four-cylinder engine with 569 cc displacement and 13 hp came from the Simca 5 and was placed in center of the vehicle. Because of the position of the engine, the rear bench seat was installed in the rearward direction behind the front seat, so rear seat passengers had to look out the back window, as well as later in the Zündapp Janus. For entry and exit to the front and rear part of the body could be folded away. Overall, the vehicle looked symmetrical. The length was 3.42 meters, width 1.60 meters and height 1.32 meters. After 1948, no vehicle was produced.
