Alan Alborn

Jacob Alan Alborn ( born December 13, 1980 in Anchorage, Alaska ) is a former American ski jumper.

Since 2001 he is a U.S. record holder in the ski flying with a flight of 221.5 m ( Planica, Slovenia). For many years, Alborn was the greatest ski jumpers of the United States and six years as a member of the national team.

Alborn was already at the age of only 17 years, participants of the Olympic Games in Nagano in 1998 and took over in 2002 years participated in his second Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.

In the World Cup, the 2001/02 season was a 20th place overall his most successful. In March 2003, he was forced to resign due to persistent knee problems and operations. Nevertheless, he launched a comeback in the winter 2004/2005 season, but was thrown back by a further knee injury. In the following years he was unable to build on his earlier successes, and constantly struggled to connect. In 2006 he participated in Turin on his third Olympic Games. After the 2006/2007 season, he finished his career final.
