Comments about Alan Ayckbourn and his works

  • Ayckbourn ... writes about the travails of modern humanity, connecting rods, gears, pistons evade the "big " mechanism. Where Shakespeare makes people fall exemplary, Ayckbourn see them bounce commonplace, stumble and dance. Where in Shakespeare that men have power and meaning, are at Ayckbourn long the women carriers of power and the will to live. In his work we find ladies of the impact Camilla Parker Bowles '; his men are sensitive, hesitant gravity. -.
