Alan Clarke

Alan Clarke ( born October 28, 1935 in Birkenhead, † July 24, 1990 in London) was a British film director, producer and author. His attention was a realistic depiction of social problems.

His short film Elephant (1989 ) dealt with the conflicts in Northern Ireland and disembodied, motivational loose shootings.
