Alan Ford (comics)

Alan Ford is an Italian comic book series of the author Max Bunker ( Luciano Secchi ) and the subscriber's Magnus ( Roberto Raviola ).

The comic has been published since 1969. Theme is the adventures of secret service agents in a black-humored and satirical manner. Except in Italy, the comic also in the former Yugoslavia was very popular. One issue in France and Brazil was not very successful.

In the first episodes of the comic focused on the adventures of the agent Alan Ford, which in later editions is part of the group TNT. This consists of discarded agents who have their headquarters in a flower shop in New York. They are incompetent and lazy, but intelligent and smart when it comes to their personal interests. The boss is sitting in a wheelchair Number One, who keeps the money paid by the government to the group for secret missions for yourself and the agent only pays starvation wages. Other protagonists are the small and choleric, but wily Bob Rock; Sir Oliver, an English snob with a talent for organization; Grunf, a World War II veteran with inventiveness, whose inventions, however, are life-threatening; Jeremiah, an old hypochondriac, which is to guard only the flower shop; The Boss, the right hand of Number One. This includes the parrot Clodoveo, the dog and the fat hamster Cirano Squitty.

Three years before the first edition in 1969 had Luciano Secchi and Roberto Raviola the idea to an agent as a comic satire on the adventures of James Bond. Raviola drew the first 75 issues, and was then replaced in 1975 by Paolo Piffarerio. 1983, when the series moved to another publisher, the comic by Raffaele della Monica and Giuliano Piccinnino was drawn. Current signatories Dario Perucca is with coloration of Omar Pistolato.

The series issued today still in Italy and the former Yugoslav states.
