Alan John Kyerematen

Alan Kyeremanteng ( born October 3, 1955) is an economist, lawyer and politician in Ghana. In the administration of President John Agyekum Kufuor, he was Minister of Trade, Industry and PSI. He stepped back from office voluntarily, to stand his party, the New Patriotic Party as a candidate in the presidential elections of 2008.

Kyeremanteng studied at the University of Ghana economics and law and has made in both subjects the conclusion. At the University of Minnesota, he studied management in the School of Management Fulbright Scholarship program.

As a senior corporate executive, he worked in the subsidiary of Unilever International in Ghana. He also was among other things a Principal Consultant and Head of the Public Systems range in Management Development Productivity Institute ( MDPI ). In 1994 Kyeremanteng in Time magazine was elected leader of the new millennium under the list of 100 Global.

After working as an ambassador to the United States between 2001 and 2003 Kyerematen was from April 2003 to July 31, 2007 Minister of Commerce, Industry and special initiatives of the President (PSI, Presidential Initiatives ).
