Alan K. Simpson

Alan Kooi Simpson ( born September 2, 1931 in Denver, Colorado ) is an American politician and a former senator of the Republican Party.

After graduating from the Cranbrook School in Bloomfield Hills Simpson studied at the University of Wyoming in Laramie and attended after graduating in 1954 and a two-year service in the United States Army, the Law School of the University of Wyoming. In 1958 he was admitted to the legal profession and practiced in Cody. 1964-1977 was a deputy in the Simpson House of Representatives from Wyoming before he was elected as a Republican on November 7, 1978 in the U.S. Senate and the state of Wyoming took from 1979 to 1997 Senator. He was a member of the Baker Commission.

Alan Kooi Simpson is the son of former Senator Milward Lee Simpson.
